Rachel and Dave’s Wedding at MyMoon, Brooklyn
The Williamsburg Hotel and MyMoon in Brooklyn – absolutely incredible locations for a wedding fit for actors and models alike. Meet Rachel and Dave. Their love spans across the borders of Canada and the US. They share their love of theater while living in New York City. I have never met two more animated people in my life! We captured their unapologetic goofiness and embraced their show-stopping style by creating images that echo feelings of Hollywood and the runway. Their photos are a perfect example of letting your personality shine through to create authentic images that last a lifetime.
Williamsburg is a hip neighborhood in Brooklyn that draws the young and the fashionable to its chic boutiques, trendy cafes and restaurants. Street art brightens residential thoroughfares and re-purposed factories, while the waterfront provides stunning views of Manhattan and seasonal venues for outdoor concerts and food markets. The Williamsburg Hotel bar offered us a perfect backdrop for a first look and portraits before the wedding.
The ceremony and reception took place at the iconic MyMoon restaurant just down the street from the hotel. The walk between gave us ample opportunities to capture that perfect NYC street vibe we love so much. A converted boiler room from Williamsburg’s factory days, MyMoon is one of the top 25 wedding venues in New York City. The industrial decor caters beautifully to photos with color and character. Because of this, it’s truly a unique space that I can’t wait to photograph again!
Ice Cream from VanLeeuwen helped top of the celebration with delicious treats from their mobile truck. All the ice cream is made from scratch in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, with vegan and regular flavors that will blow you away! I highly recommend their services for any wedding or event.
